Teachers exhibit, knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovation professional in a global and digital society
a. Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations
b. Collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation
c. Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to student, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats
d. Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning
Reflection
This standard address the need for teachers to be competent/literate in a digital technology rich classroom to meet the requirements of the National Educational Technology Standards for teachers as well as students. It also promotes the use of digital technology to communicate relevant information to students, parents, and the community. As professional, teachers must continue to pursue ongoing learning and competency. This continuous pursuit of learning must incorporate the use of digital technology to meet the requirements of this standard. In addition, a solid lesson plan that incorporates objectives, course descriptions, activities, rubrics and assessments is an effective tool. As well as a quality course site that discloses the teacher' credentials, provide interactive blogs, videos, and websites to supplement course content and to provide a medium for students and parents to provide feedback.

Future learning goals
The 21st Century learner (digital natives) requires our full attention in ensuring the development of rigorous comprehensive standards that promote literacy for teachers as well as students. Nearly all jobs in the 21st century require some type of technology to meet the challenging demands of our growing digital age. As a teacher I will stay abreast with the latest digital technology through college courses, conferences and in-services to ensure students success and innovation. I will use the aforementioned artifacts in future teachings to address students fluency, collaboration and innovate skills regarding digital technologies for the 21st century learner.
