Teachers continue to improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources.
a. Participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning
b. Exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared vision making and community building, and developing leadership and technology skills of others
c. Evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning
d. Contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community
Reflection
This standard reflects on the need to ensure teachers are prepared to demonstrate digital technology skills in the 21st century classroom. Teachers must be committed to lifelong learning through college credit courses and leadership workshops to develop and maintain a competency level that meets or exceeds National Educational for Technology Standards. In addition this standard addresses the need for teachers to incorporate a variety of digital technologies to support the learning process of the 21st century student. There are a robust number of technologies available to assist teachers. There are software templates for Instructional design and lesson plans to facilitate the planning process. Blogs and forums templates that allow one-to-one or one-to money for communications collaborations with parents, students and colleagues. Web 2.0 resources like Podcast, Movie Maker, Course Sites, Scoopit etc. that offers teachers tools that can enhance and support teaching digital technology.

Future learning goals
My goals as a teacher is to continuously seeking the latest and greatest technology to support teachers and students learning on digital technology. The use of tools such as podcast, movie maker, course sites and scoopit are all emerging technologies that I look forward in introducing to my class. These tools allow me to connect with students, the community and parents where dialogue on new ideas can be exchange bidirectional. The sharing of new ideas and information between all parties will help to forge course content that share ideas that prepare students to become productive citizens.
